Nominator's project description

Professor Lavernia is an internationally well-known expert in the field of materials science. He has made important contributions to the basic understanding and processing of engineering alloys and nanostructured materials for both structural and functional applications. Professor Lavernia has also developed the synthesis and processing routes enabling the transfer of these new alloys to commercial use. During his stay in Germany, he intends to develop high entropy alloys, a new class of metallic materials.
